While catfish, crappie, white bass and sunfish are found in Lake Athens, it is best known for largemouth bass. Lake Athens Marina provides the only public admission to the lake also as fishing supplies, pier line-fishing, restaurant, picnic area, an RV park and restrooms. Open daily at 7 a.one thousand.

I go in that location almost every weekend. The lake is beautiful and there is then much to do. I just can't help only wonder why my grandparents property is the 2nd moving picture?

Took a 1.5hr bulldoze to go to it. Very squeamish lake. Was empty when I went, but was during the week. This was in the wintertime and fishing was hard.....I here its packed with bass

Just outside of Athens, Texas is Lake Athens. Not but a local water supply. This beautiful little lake has a great marina and on site restaurant. Bass tournaments on Tuesday fill the lake with seasoned fishermen searching for the big one. Boat launch correct side by side to the marina. Ski boats, jet skis and tubing are all welcome hither. Boaters enjoy swimming at the beach-like docking area by the damn. And don't forget the Texas Country Fish Hatchery, a must visit for all ages.

Lake Athens is one of tge peak bass lakes in Texas, we can be on the water fishing in 17 minutes from our firm

New Owners Nutrient was Good, Portions were Small, Prices were Pricey. All in all I want to effort their Hamburger simply $10.00..add a Drink and so Taxes and Tip !!!

Very nice place to go kayaking. I have traveled here several times for kayaking and photo shoots and I notice that this is a place where I tin find some peace and quite. I accept fifty-fifty gone out in the kayak and brought a practiced book. There is some good angling here as well. There is more that plenty to practise here.

Rare clearwater lake in Texas. Public launch and city park. No active Marina where boats can be rented. Need your own or fish from shore at the launch city park. Small RV campground(no tents) and grocery/snack store.

Excellent line-fishing lake. This is non a lake for water sports. At-home and laid back, typically pretty tranquillity.
Just depict back is lack of parking at the marina.
